How To Pay for Treatment at Elk River

Insurance & Financing

We understand that the financial responsibility of a residential treatment and education program can be overwhelming. To this end, we strive to keep our costs as low as possible and do not charge additional fees for application, academics, meals, accommodations, attire or gear required to participate in the program. Transport services, extensive psychological testing and some medical/nursing care (if necessary) may be billed separately by the providers.

The cost for your child to attend Elk River Treatment Program (ERTP) can be made through private payment with major credit cards or personal check. ERTP accepts private insurance only. We do not accept Medicaid. Some private insurance covers ERTP services, however, it seldom covers the entire program. Since ERTP is individualized to meet the needs of each child, the length of stay is dependent on the child’s response to treatment. Each resident has a primary therapist who provides the family with weekly progress reports.

In-Network Provider

ERTP is an in-network provider for Cigna, United Behavioral Health/Optum and Value Option Commercial Insurance and an out-of-network provider for several other insurance companies. Although we cannot guarantee reimbursement, we work diligently with insurance companies to seek reimbursement for families with out-of-network insurance providers.

Insurance companies determine eligibility for behavioral health treatment based on medical necessity. It is imperative that our admissions and treatment team are aware of the criteria applied by your insurance plan. Please contact our Admissions Department at 866-906-TEEN (8336) for further details on insurance options or you can inquire by emailing our Director of Admissions at kathyd@elkrivertreatment.com.

Loan Options

Financing your child’s treatment and education with a health care or student loan is a common option. ERTP maintains a relationship with Prosper Healthcare Lending.
